On November 10, I had the pleasure of participating in a short interview with Ismail from Literacy Leverage on Bluesky, and I would like to share it here:

Ismail: Hello! I’m Ismail. I’m inspired by writers who keep a positive outlook. What’s the best part of being a writer for you?
Natali: The best part of being a writer for me is having the opportunity to create worlds that resonate with meaning. It’s the connection between the lines, the encounter with the essence of human experiences—love, doubt, hope… This creative freedom… inspires me to keep going.
Ismail: What would you say has been the most challenging part of this journey for you, and how do you keep pushing forward when the creative process gets tough?
Natali: The most challenging part… has been staying true to the heart of my work… For me, writing isn’t just storytelling; it’s an intimate hero’s journey… I’m not driven by external recognition… I write to uncover and express an inner truth… The act of artistic creation itself, regardless of its outcome, is where my true fulfillment lies.
Ismail: Do you have any practices or routines that help you reconnect with your inner truth when the creative path feels hard to follow?
Natali: …One of my most grounding routines is spending quiet time in nature… I also take time to reflect through journaling… Additionally, I see my work as fluid… designed to be a perpetual work-in-progress… This approach brings a sense of lightness and freedom to my work… My writing… is more like a song about a deeply individual introspective journey.
Ismail: …Your practice of grounding yourself in nature… reminds me of the power of stepping away and letting creativity breathe. Do you find that these moments in nature and reflective writing shape your work in unexpected ways?
Natali: Yes, stepping away into nature… often shapes my work in ways I wouldn’t have anticipated… A simple observation… or a line from my journaling finds its way into my project, adding depth… One realization… is the understanding that creativity needs space to echo and breathe, just like we do.
Ismail: Before we wrap up, I’d love to ask, how did you approach the marketing side of your work?
Natali: …When it comes to the marketing side… I approach it by staying authentic to the core of my project and focusing on creating genuine connections… I believe that when your work carries personal resonance, the right audience will find it naturally…
Ismail: It’s clear how deeply you value the transformative power of storytelling. Your dedication to creating a space for reflection and connection is inspiring, and I can imagine the unique resonance your work holds for readers who engage with it.
Natali: Thank you for your thoughtful questions and your interest in my project… I appreciate your curiosity and the time you’ve taken to engage in this conversation.
Ismail: Best of luck with your writing journey.
